Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!
I started How Does She Do It? because I wanted to talk about the successes and struggles that come with being grown. I spent 9 years (yes, 9!) in school after college, and was shocked at all the things I did not learn in all classrooms I sat in or from the books I read. Going through my twenties taught me so much and I know that these good thirties will do the same.
How Does She Do It? means sharing practical insight and honest perspective on personal development, relationships, professional success (and struggles), and the intersection of other things that matter to women in their 20s and 30s. I hope you will share your comments, questions, advice, and perspective on stories I share, and insight into your own.
A little more about me…
Like you, I am many things: a Black woman, an older sister (oldest of 4), lawyer, social worker, sorority sister, lover of good food, an occasional athlete, silly, New Yorker living in a foreign place (Pennsylvania), advocate, survivor, sometimes too serious, career-oriented, driven, overthinking, dedicated, aspiring maker of amazing chocolate chip cookies, loyal, Cornell grad, Duke basketball fan, secret sangria snob, and unofficial ambassador for Haribo gummy products. To name a few.
